These terms are the agreement between you and Tronix Incorporation (Private) Limited ("Skills Factory", "we", "us") for using Skills Factory, powered by AJA, at skillsfactory.apexa.site and in the Skills Factory app. By creating an account or using Skills Factory you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Skills Factory.
1. What Skills Factory is
Skills Factory is a Zimbabwean career platform that helps graduates and job seekers at every stage become job-ready and get hired. It brings together:
- job-readiness training with assessments and verifiable certificates;
- a career profile, CV builder and AI-written, tailored CVs and cover letters;
- job listings from Zimbabwe and beyond, daily matches and applications prepared and sent on your behalf by AJA, our Automated Job Applications engine;
- a professional network with a feed that adapts to your likes, training and engagement;
- messages, photos, documents, voice notes and audio and video calls; and
- employers who post jobs and receive applications, and career events.
Skills Factory is a tool that supports your job search. We do not guarantee interviews, job offers or employment, and we are not an employment agency or the employer of any job advertised.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian knows you are using Skills Factory.
- General career tools, training and the network are open to job seekers at every career stage. Some programmes, partner courses or opportunities have their own eligibility rules, which are shown before you join them.
- You may not use Skills Factory if we have previously closed your account for breaking these terms, unless we agree otherwise.
3. Your account
- One person, one account. Use your real name and an email address and mobile number that belong to you.
- Keep your password private and turn on two-factor authentication for extra protection. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it was caused by our failure.
- Tell us straight away at support@skillsfactory.apexa.site if you think someone else has used your account.
- You can download your data or delete your account at any time in Settings.
4. Your profile and the truth
- Everything on your profile, CVs and applications must be true and yours: your qualifications, experience, skills, certificates and referees.
- Only list referees who have agreed to be contacted, and keep their details accurate.
- You are responsible for checking every CV and cover letter before it is sent or before you switch on auto-pilot, even when AI wrote it.
5. Applying for jobs on your behalf
- You authorise us to apply for you. When you approve an application, or switch on semi-pilot or auto-pilot, you instruct Skills Factory to prepare a CV and cover letter for the job and send them to the employer's contact address in your name.
- Approve each one: nothing is sent until you approve it. Semi-pilot: we prepare applications for matching jobs and you approve them. Auto-pilot: we send applications for jobs that match your preferences without asking each time.
- Auto-pilot respects your job preferences, daily limits, plan allowance and the employers you have excluded. You can pause it, change your settings and see every application it sent at any time.
- Applications are sent from your connected Gmail or mailbox, or, if you allow it, from the Skills Factory address with replies going to you. If you connect a mailbox, you allow us to send only job applications from it; we do not read your inbox.
- We may skip a job that looks like a scam, has expired, has no valid contact address, or that you have already applied to.
- An application being sent does not mean the employer received, read or accepted it. Employers decide who they interview and hire.
6. AI-written content
- CVs, cover letters, interview preparation, company research and similar text are written with AI models using the facts in your profile and the job advert.
- We instruct the AI to use only your real facts and check its work, but AI can still make mistakes. You must review AI content and correct anything that is wrong.
- Match scores and suggestions are guidance only.
- You own the CVs and letters produced for you and may use them anywhere.
7. Job listings
- Listings come from employers who post on Skills Factory and from public employer websites and job boards. We gather and tidy them, remove duplicates and try to remove scams, but we cannot verify every advert.
- Never pay anyone to get a job. A genuine employer will not ask you for money for an application, interview, medical, uniform or training. Report suspicious adverts with the Report button.
- Salaries, closing dates and requirements are as published by the employer and may change.
8. Training and certificates
- Our job-readiness courses are free unless clearly marked otherwise. Each course has lessons and an assessment with a pass mark. You may attempt each assessment a limited number of times in a 24-hour period.
- When you pass, we issue a Skills Factory certificate with a unique code. Anyone with the code can check it on our verification page, which shows your name, the course, your score, the date and whether it is valid.
- A Skills Factory certificate shows you completed our course and passed its assessment. It is not a degree, diploma or accredited national qualification unless a course page says it is offered with an accredited partner.
- You must complete assessments yourself. We may revoke a certificate obtained by cheating, impersonation or sharing answers, and the verification page will then show it as revoked.
- You may share, print and show your certificate. You must not alter it or present someone else's certificate as yours.
9. Network, posts and community rules
- Keep it professional. Be respectful, honest and helpful.
- Do not post or send anything that is false or misleading, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, threatening, defamatory or illegal, or that invades someone's privacy.
- Do not post scams, pyramid schemes, paid "job placement" offers, spam or repetitive promotion.
- Only share content you have the right to share. Do not post other people's personal information without their permission.
- Your feed is ordered by a ranking that learns from your activity, as explained in the privacy policy. You can switch to a time-ordered feed at any time.
- Use Report for content or people that break these rules, and Block to stop someone contacting you.
10. Messages, attachments and calls
- The first message to someone you are not connected with is a request. You can send further messages, files and calls once they accept.
- Only send attachments you have the right to share. Files must be of an allowed type and size and must not contain malware.
- Do not record calls or share screenshots of private conversations without the other person's permission, unless you need to report abuse or the law allows it.
- Calls connect directly between devices over the internet and need a working connection and permission to use your microphone and camera. Call quality depends on your network. Skills Factory calls are not a phone service and cannot be used to contact emergency services.
11. Employers and organisations
- Employers and their team members must be authorised to act for the organisation, post only real vacancies they are recruiting for and describe them truthfully.
- Employers must never charge candidates any fee, and must use candidates' information only to recruit for the role applied for, in line with the Cyber and Data Protection Act.
- Employers must not copy, sell or bulk-download member information or contact members for unrelated marketing.
- We may verify an organisation, and may remove jobs or close employer accounts that break these terms.
12. Plans, payments and refunds
- Skills Factory has a free plan and paid plans with higher daily application allowances and extra features. The current prices and what each plan includes are on the Pricing page, and you will see the price before you pay. New members may receive a free trial.
- Payments are processed by Paynow in US dollars or Zimbabwe Gold (ZWG) using the methods it offers. A plan runs for the period shown (normally 30 days) and does not renew automatically unless you choose that.
- If a payment is taken but your plan is not activated, contact us and we will activate it or refund you.
- You may ask for a refund within 7 days of paying if you have not used the paid features. Refunds are made through the original payment method where possible. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
- We may change prices for future periods, giving at least 14 days' notice. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.
- Unused daily allowances do not carry over and have no cash value.
13. Your content and our licence
- You keep ownership of everything you add: your profile, CVs, documents, posts, comments, messages and attachments.
- You give Skills Factory permission to store, copy, process, display and send your content only as needed to run the services you use, for example to show your posts to the audience you choose, to tailor your CV with AI or to send your application to an employer. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except where others already received it (such as an employer who got your application) or where we must keep records by law.
- We do not sell your content.
14. Our content and brand
The Skills Factory and AJA names, logos, course materials, CV designs, software and website design belong to Tronix Incorporation and its partners. You may use them only to use Skills Factory as intended. You must not copy, resell or build a competing service from them.
15. Things you must not do
- Pretend to be someone else, or create fake or multiple accounts.
- Scrape, harvest, bulk-download or automatically collect data from Skills Factory, or use bots other than the features we provide.
- Try to get around plan limits, assessment attempt limits, blocks or security, or access accounts, files or data that are not yours.
- Upload malware or anything designed to damage, overload or interfere with Skills Factory.
- Use Skills Factory to send spam or to apply for jobs you do not genuinely want or are not entitled to apply for.
- Use Skills Factory for anything illegal, including fraud, trafficking or exploitation.
16. Moderation, suspension and closure
- We may remove content, limit features, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts other people at risk. Where it is safe and lawful we will tell you why and how to ask us to review the decision.
- You may close your account at any time in Settings. Closing it ends these terms for you, apart from sections that by their nature continue (such as payments already made, your responsibility to us and liability).
- If we ever close Skills Factory, we will give reasonable notice and a chance to download your data.
17. Availability and changes
- We work to keep Skills Factory available and secure, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance, upgrades or reasons outside our control, such as power, internet or provider outages.
- We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a paid feature during a period you paid for, we will offer a fair alternative or refund.
- We may update these terms. The date and version are at the top of this page. For material changes we will tell you in advance by email or in the app; continuing to use Skills Factory after a change takes effect means you accept it.
18. Responsibility and liability
- Skills Factory is provided with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, it is provided "as is".
- We are not responsible for the decisions or conduct of employers, recruiters, other members or third-party websites, for the accuracy of adverts we did not write, or for losses caused by content you approved or by your failure to keep your account secure.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you have not paid us.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
19. Your responsibility to us
If someone makes a claim against us because of false information you provided, content you posted or sent, or your breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows.
20. Law, disputes and contact
- These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem. If we cannot, disputes will be heard by the courts of Zimbabwe.
- If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
