JOB ADVERT Position: Architect Department: Projects & Infrastructure Reports To: Head of Civil Engineering / Projects Director Location: Head Office (with site visits) Job Purpose The Architect will conceptualize, design, and detail commercial, residential, and industrial building projects. This position is responsible for translating project briefs into innovative, functionally sound, and cost-effective architectural designs while ensuring strict compliance with local planning and building control regulations. Key Responsibilities Conceptual & Detailed Design: Prepare architectural drawings, 3D renderings, master plans, and construction documentation using CAD/BIM software. Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and submit planning and building permission documentation to municipal authorities, ensuring strict adherence to national building codes. Site Supervision & Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring compliance with approved architectural working drawings. Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Structural Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and MEP Consultants to integrate engineering systems smoothly into building designs. Sustainable Design: Integrate modern, energy-efficient, and sustainable design practices into building concepts and material specifications. Key Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch). Full registration with a recognized national Architectural Council / Institute (e.g., NIA, SACAP, Architects Council). Minimum of 5-7 years' proven experience in architectural design, working drawings, and project administration. High proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, and rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion).
